Just back from the ECIS conference in Hamburg. My seminar was packed with 130 people sitting on the floor, in the corridors and standing at the back. I was very humbled by the reception. We Are The People We Have Been Waiting For

Last night Ellie and I attended the world premier of the new film on the state of education in the UK ‘We Are The People We Have Been Waiting For’. We loved the film, walked the red carpet, mixed with the great and the good and ate flying saucers! At the end of the film Paul asked the first question to the panel and spoke again in support of a revolution in teaching training. The film is going to be given away free with the Guardian on November 28th. Please show it to everyone you know so that we can open up the debate to the widest possible audience.

I had an interesting discussion with Sir Alan Steer and gently told him that the idea that all you need to improve behaviour are interesting lessons is nonsense!
