This strategy is great for all lessons but particularly active or pratical lessons where you don't want lots of extra bits of paper around. My views on managing children's behaviour have changed radically over the years. There are many reasons for this: having children of my own was highly significant. So was learning from teachers I admired, reading books on the subject and being fortunate enough to experience some very good in-service training.
