Did you know that Pivotal has a specialist Active Maths trainer? It's me actually! I know you are used to getting my emails and tips, but my specialist area is Active Maths and I want to use this opportunity to tell you a little bit more about what I am offering...
Firstly, I'd like to apologise - some of you received an email welcoming you to the Active Maths list when you hadn't signed up. This was an error on my part. Don't worry, you won't receive Maths Tips unless you have asked for them.

3.Workshops & Training
Would you like me to come to your school and show you how it's done? I can work with your students and/or your staff. I can do student workshops followed by staff twilight sessions or whole day INSET sessions for your staff.
Integrating practical and active methods into your teaching of maths will allow pupils to develop their mathematical reasoning and thinking by doing.
I will model key techniques with your teachers, demonstrating how to engage and inspire even the most reluctant mathematicians! INSET days are active, practical and fun. Your staff will leave with bundles of resources and full of ideas for their classes.
SPECIAL OFFER FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS: The first 10 primary schools that respond to this email will qualify for a special discounted rate of £450 + vat + expenses for a full day of student workshops and/or staff training.
