The KS4 drama schemes of work pack includes 3 schemes of work written for GCSE drama students:

1) Junk Shop - an improvisation scheme � This scheme of work can be used with

Year 10 pupils as an introduction to Improvisation techniques and responding to a stimulus for GCSE. The scheme focuses on character development, but encompasses many other drama skills and techniques. The scheme can also be easily adapted to form the structure for GCSE coursework modules � Edexcel Drama (Paper 1, Unit 1), OCR Drama (Coursework Unit 2), AQA Drama (Coursework)

2) Henry IV - an exploration of text scheme. This scheme of work was designed for use as an assessed practical exam for GCSE Drama pupils.

It can easily be adapted to meet requirements for Edexcel (Unit 1, Paper 2), OCR (Coursework Unit 1). For AQA Drama, the scheme could be used as an introduction to Henry IV before working on sections of the script for performance.

The scheme explores Pirandello's play, "Henry IV".

Some of the themes relating to the play are quite complex, and the text itself is very "wordy". This is a play to look at with confident readers.

3) Widows - a scheme that works towards a performance of "Widows" by Arial Dorfman. This scheme gives GCSE drama pupils the opportunity to work with and around a text towards a performance. It can be used as preparation for year 11 assessed work.
