Training that Meets YOUR Needs
Hello
We know that with education budgets being slashed, it is harder for schools and colleges to meet every teacher's individual professional development needs.
Pivotal offers a range of training and support for individuals that will not conflict with whole institution training and allows you to take control of your own professional development.
1. Online Training
At Pivotal we are developing and expanding our range of online training courses. All of these courses are designed for individual teachers and support assistants to work on by themselves, at their own pace and develop and improve their practice over time. Our courses are competitively priced, to enable individual teachers to afford to take them independently and for institutions to afford to enrol groups of staff.
Current course titles:
· Taking Care of Behaviour: Our very popular and highly acclaimed classroom behaviour management course. This course covers: Achieving consistency, managing your own behaviour, praise and reward, delivering sanctions, assertiveness, rules and routines.
· Managing Extreme Behaviour: This NEW course is our more advanced behaviour course and looks at managing specific behaviour needs in practical terms. Content includes: Managing aggression, the angry learner, ADHD, autism, Asperger's, passive aggression and managing disaffection.

3. Coaching and E-Mentoring
If you are looking for bespoke help and advice for yourself or a specific member of your team, then you should consider using our coaching and e-mentoring services.
Importantly - all our coaching and e-mentoring is private and discreet. Our aim is to support you and to help you develop and refine your skills in the classroom. Our expert coaches and mentors will never discuss your performance with anyone other than in a positive way.
Coaching and e-mentoring are our most bespoke and individual services. Coaching takes place face to face and is paid for by the school/college, rather than the individual. You will be assigned a coach who will observe you teach and work closely with you. You will develop a trusting relationship with the coach, who can be contacted in between visits.
Pivotal trainers can work with several individuals within one institution in one day, so if you are interested in coaching for yourself, please let your CPD co-ordinator know and they can get in touch.
E-mentoring allows you to contact a trainer via phone or email. This service is cheap enough for you to pay for yourself, though many schools will pay for you. You can discuss your classroom issues with a trainer and get bespoke, individualised advice about how you can move forward.
Pivotal trainers always give practical advice, strategies that you can try immediately. Trainers will also give you the means to plan your approach over the longer term, giving a greater impact and sustaining the input that the trainers have.
Ementoring starts at £40 + vat per hour.
